Hi everyone!
A very happy new year to you all. We hope you have had (and continue to have) a fabulous summer.
Welcome to Season 2026
If you are a returning family, I look forward to another great year with you at the Greyhounds. If this is your first season with us, I would like to extend you a very warm welcome to our football club.
I’d like to start by acknowledging the tragic events at Bondi Beach late last year, and the impact this has had on the Jewish and broader Australian community. At Glebe, we pride ourselves on being an inclusive club where everyone is welcome and safe – regardless of their race, ethnicity, religion, country of origin, disability, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any of the many ways that makes us all unique.
It’s hard to believe, but the football season is only just around the corner. Jubilee Oval is looking simply stunning following the recent resurfacing works. I’m excited about hosting our annual State of Origin exchange in July, along with watching all our players (from our next crop of U5 right through to our final year U17s) get back out there on the field in the black and white.
As a committee, we are always looking for ways to keep evolving and improving the club. If you have any suggestions or feedback, no matter how big or small, I encourage you to raise this with me or any of our committee members. We want the Greyhounds to continue to be the premier club of the inner west (if not all of Sydney)!
A club built on community
Volunteers are the heartbeat of our club. Whether you can spare an hour or two, would like to be involved with your children’s team, or are interested in shaping the future of the Greyhounds… there are many, ways you can pitch in.
Please speak with your Team Manager, a committee member, or register interest via the link below.
Key updates ahead of the 2026 season

Summer sessions resume in the w/c 2 February.
These sessions are a fantastic way to refresh your skills before preseason training starts, and cater from beginner to experienced levels. The best part is – these sessions are free!
Training resumes the w/c 2 March.
The training schedule for this year is unchanged from last year. Note: if you are moving up age groups, you may be training at a different time/day.
Have you thought about umpiring this year?
We are proud to have so many Greyhounds help out as junior umpires. If you’re 13+ this year, fill in this form to sign up or receive more information.
